Friends of the Academy of Fine Arts

Our Mission Statement

The Friends of the Academy of Fine Arts is a volunteer support group for the Academy of Fine Arts, its Board of Directors and Staff. Its mission is to create and execute fundraising events to supplement the Academy's annual operating budget. The "Friends" shall also serve as ambassadors within the community, promoting awareness of the Academy's many visual and performing arts events, and its education and outreach programs.

How you can get involved . . .

• Help with our two annual fundraising events. Friends coordinate and execute these events from beginning to end. In the past four years we have raised over $250,000 for the Academy!

• Volunteer to serve as a greeter at one of our many performances and/or gallery events throughout the year. If you work at one of these events you receive complimentary admission

• Hostess at First Fridays by greeting guests and representing the Academy of Fine Arts.
