The Second City played to a packed house!
March 3, 2005
The Second City the nationwide improv and sketch-comedy group responsible for launching the careers of dozens of now-famous comedians since its original 1959 Chicago opening played to a packed house at The Academy of Fine Arts Joy and Lynch Christian Warehouse Theatre on March 3, 2005.
Six professional comedians shot out rapid-fire one-liners, acted in uproarious sketches, and involved members of the audience in outrageous ad libs. One improvised skit celebrated a make-believe birthday with an audience member just like they do on "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"
Many times people shouted out words that the versatile cast would then magically develop into a hilarious script. People laughed until tears rolled down their cheeks.
"What a refreshing time I had," said one audience member. "The atmosphere was awesome with everyone seated cabaret style at round tables with lit candles. I felt like I left Lynchburg for a night."
