Jack Klugman gave a fast-paced performance Saturday evening, alternating between revealing film clips, hilarious out takes, and stories about the well-known performers with whom he had been privileged to work over the last 5 five decades, performers such as Charles Bronson, Humphrey Bogart, Judy Garland, Henry Fonda, Tony Randall, and more. Mr. Klugman made it a point to always focus on the positive. “I was told that the audience will get diabetes, my show is so sweet.” Throughout the show, Mr. Klugman focused on being true to your vision of your self – “that’s all you’ve got.” He related how he once refused a lucrative movie part because the director wanted him to act in a way that he did not agree with. “Never sell yourself short,” he advised. After hearing stories about his bout with cancer, his struggle to strengthen his vocal chords, and his successful return to the stage, it was easy to come away inspired and light hearted.
