LYNCHBURG - (November 28, 2012) The Academy of Fine Arts will host Art vs. Craft on Saturday, December 1st from 9AM-2PM in the Academy's Warehouse Theatre. Sponsored by the Burg, Art vs. Craft is a fair unlike others, featuring juried handmade items by over twenty-five local sellers who are featured on the handmade vintage craft site, Etsy.com.
At Art vs. Craft, guests will enjoy free admission and a large variety of high quality handmade wares for purchase, many items of which are customizable. Find fabric goods, stoneware, pottery, jewelry, baby & children's items, candles and much more!
"Art vs. Craft is the perfect place to support local artisans and Etsy sellers and do all of your holiday shopping!" said Kelly Allen, the Academy's Director of Education and organizer of Art vs. Craft. "We tag-lined this event ‘Not Your Momma's Craft Fair' because our show is filled with a variety of talented and unique Etsy sellers. You don't see this level of quality at just any craft fair."
