Ted Batt

Ted Batt has served as exhibitions curator for the Academy of Fine Arts in Lynchburg since 2005. He oversees two annual national juried shows and curates monthly exhibitions of regional and national artists for the Academy. Ted has been throwing functional pottery for over 15 years and has taught beginning pottery classes at the Academy of Fine Arts.

Prior to moving to Lynchburg, Ted directed a fine arts program at the Medical College of Virginia for eight years, where he managed a permanent collection of over 700 pieces of original art.

Ted has a MasterŐs Degree in Art History and Museum Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University.
